Subject: No access to an encrypted database
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Domino Server
Technical Area: Administration
Platform: Other
Release: 8.5
Reproducible: Always

This is a server on win XP. I made several copies of a database that has encryption then I upgraded to 8.5 Domino Enterprise. Now I can't get into it. The error says "This database has local access protection (encrypted) and you are not authorized to access it." I have tried it from the backup folder and from the data directory and get the same every time. Is there a way to get into it? Do I have to backlevel, change the security/permissions, then go back to 8.5? I have a lot of hours on this one and it's to become active in about a month.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
